Rule 27 of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 mandates for registration of manufacturers, packers, and importers of packaged commodities.
When to Register
Within 90 days from the date on which the manufacturer, packer, and importer commence such pre-packing activity.
