When the information you provided during the Legal Metrology registration application for packaged
commodities changes; for instance- addition in the list of products, deletion in the list of products, change of
address, etc., then modification or amendment in registration certificate is required.
Rule 27(3) of the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011,
states that for making
any alteration in the registration certificate, an application is to be made and a fee shall be paid
by the concerned manufacturer or packer or importer to the Director or Controller of Legal
Metrology.
